3 Ideas to Keep Your Bathroom Super Organised

Your bathroom should be one of the most relaxing rooms in your home – somewhere to unwind with a bath, a book, and maybe a glass of wine (or two). But it’s also one of the hardest-working spaces you have, especially if you have a young family.

From slippery bottles of shampoo to endless tubes of toothpaste, it can be tricky to keep bathroom clutter to a minimum. So, if you’re looking for bathroom organisation ideas, where’s the best place to start?

In this blog post, we’ll be sharing some of our top tips and tricks for creating an organised bathroom. Whatever the shape and size of your room, you’re sure to find some new ideas to keep your home spick, span and clutter-free.

1.  Invest in new bathroom furniture

We don’t think twice about having a chest of drawers in our bedroom, so why not in our bathrooms? From towels and toilet rolls to flannels, bath toys and toiletries, people keep all kinds of miscellaneous items in their bathroom. As well as making the room look quite cluttered, they can also become damp if you leave them out during a shower or bath time. This probably doesn’t matter for plastic bottles, but can be a real nuisance for clean towels and paper toilet roll. Cue our new range of bathroom storage furniture.

Part of our bestselling (and much copied) Tetbury range, these storage units combine real hardwood with high-quality wicker or faux rattan, creating a piece that’s both practical and in keeping with your bathroom. Each unit comes with a variety of different sized baskets, making it easy for you to tuck away a range of items inside.

Plus, because our units stand perched on wooden legs, they won’t look heavy in your bathroom and you’ll also have a few extra inches of storage space underneath your chest of drawers.

2.  Hang storage on your walls

If your floor space is limited, it can be tricky to see where you might be able to squeeze in some extra storage. In other rooms of the house, we can stash belongings under the bed or on coffee table shelves – but short of keeping our toiletries on the side of the bath, that’s not really an option in our bathrooms! Instead, many people choose to install additional storage solutions on their walls, whether that’s a shelf, cabinet or hook.

Our Tetbury hanging shelf and baskets are a combination of all three. Available in a range of colours, this clever storage solution features faux rattan baskets and a hardwearing lacquer, making it suitable for well-ventilated bathrooms. Simply store spare toiletries in the baskets and hang towels, flannels, or dressing gowns on the hooks.

If you need storage that’s even more space-saving, why not look for an organiser that you can hang on the back of your bathroom door? This will keep the rest of your room looking neat, without having to attach shelves to the walls.

3.  Double your cabinet space

If you have a bathroom cabinet, it’s easy to fill the shelves to overflowing – but what happens next? Well, with just a few simple additions, you can double your cabinet’s storage capacity and keep more of your items safely stashed away.

All you need to get started is a set of suction pads and a few lightweight pots. Attach the pads to the pots and then firmly press them onto the inside of your cabinet door, avoiding the edges of the shelves. You can then fill the pots with any items that usually get left out after use, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes.

A bonus tip is to use clear pots if possible, as this will enable you to see what’s inside without having to rummage through every time. If you have extra wall space, you can even attach some more pots to the side of the cabinet or by your bathroom mirror. This will mean you always have the items you need to hand, without having to put it on a new shelf or unit.
