Edvard Olsen

Inspired by the Danish mantra of hygge, the Edvard Olsen range has been designed to combine two key aspects of Scandinavian design – simplicity and timelessness. While you might find inferior copies of our original Edvard Olsen furniture elsewhere, it’s only furniture.co.uk that pairs these two elements with love, care and outstanding results.

Hygge is the enjoyment and appreciation of the simple things in life. A hot cup of tea on a cosy night with your chunky knit blanket and a good book. It’s something the Danes put at the heart of their culture and way of life. Moderation over excess. Balance over extravagance. Crucially, it extends to their furniture.

Our Edvard Olsen range has been carefully designed so that the proportions are balanced and beautiful from every angle. Hand-built from solid oak, this living and dining furniture collection is both elegant and robust. That’s paired with finer details that make a big difference to function. Think generously proportioned drawers, ergonomically designed chairs and hard-wearing surfaces.

A matt lacquer showcases the stunning, deep grain of the oak in two natural shades. Choose between a warm, cosy golden oak and a cool, airy light oak. Whatever your preference, this is a furniture range that’s truly timeless and versatile. Despite dating back several decades, hygge designs always look modern and contemporary with clean lines that work in any design scheme.
